Like any small family-run business, we have to figure out how to make money to keep providing the services we provide, and of course, to make a profit, so that it’s all worthwhile. We don’t sell food. We don’t sell lawnmowers, or houses, or plumbing services. We don’t sell anything really, except information and entertainment.
And there’s more than enough of that to go around, and plenty of it for free. So how can we make money? Well, we’ve decided there are two ways, advertising and sponsorships. And we would like you to be on of our sponsors.
What is a sponsor?
A sponsor is someone who is willing to give us money to help us survive, or even thrive. A sponsor pays us an annual or monthly amount, and in return, sponsors get to feel good about themselves for helping another small business contribute its small part to the betterment of the community.
Why would I go for that?
Well, probably you wouldn’t, unless you were really nice and really liked us. But of course, we need to offer you something in return for sponsoring us. And what is that? Well, that depends on who you are and what you want and how much money you want to give us.
In other words, we need to talk it over. We need to get together and be creative and figure out how we can help one another. Perhaps, for $1000 a year, we’ll write a story about your business, give you a special listing in our business directory, and put a banner ad on our homepage, or every page.
We’re just not sure yet.
If you think you would like to help sponsor our site, or help us figure out our sponsorship service, or just offer suggestions about how you think we would help you or you could help us, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, or call Andrea White at 410-259-8667, and lets talk it over.
We’re creative people. Maybe together we can come up with something that’s good for both of us.
